January 2013: Excited to tell you we've been granted 501(c)(3) by the IRS! Thanks for the support as we made this huge step in our growth - Laura
Strings for Hope proudly introduces great pieces of wearable art composed from recycled strings from musical instruments donated by some of the country's most talented musicians.
Musical instrument strings are constructed using mixed metals making them non-recyclable in traditional manners, as a result they end up in landfills. We take those strings and combine them with vintage beads and findings to create unique handcrafted wearable art in the forms of bracelets, necklaces and rings for both men and women.
Proceeds from items sold through Strings for Hope are directed to food distribution programs and healthcare clinics regionally in Kentucky and Tennessee and globally in Honduras, Haiti, India, Dominican Republic, and Africa.

How you can help:
- Collect used strings from your musical instruments. Please consider including autographed notes of thanks from artists for supporting this project.
- Invite Strings for Hope to local craft shows and music festivals.
- Purchase your own custom handcrafted item from Strings for Hope and tell your friends all about it!
